Hubert LeBlanc has over 40 years experience in dealing with animal waste and composting, as he and his brothers operated one of the largest pork production facility in the province until 2008.  This was when the North American market collapsed, forcing the local abattoir to close in Atlantic Canada.

Certified as a master composter, Hubert has travelled throughout Canada, the US, as well as Europe to view environmental technologies. He & his son, Robert, were part of a delegation from the Clare Energy Concept, which travelled to Gussing, Austria in 2005 to view that community’s achievements in environmental sustainability.

Hubert is also shareholder & president of Spec Resources Inc., a construction company specializing in sand and gravel, and site work excavation. This company has been very involved with the rapid expansion on the local mink industry.

Terry LeBlanc, Hubert’s wife, has been secretary and bookkeeper for the company since its inception, as well as performing any tasks that come her way. She has also worked for Hubert’s other companies, as well as the Royal Bank in Church Point.
